Abrasive wheels are essential equipment in many industries, and the range of abrasive wheels now available makes them even more flexible and effective workshop tools. However inexperience or carelessness in the use of abrasive wheels can be very dangerous and serious accidents can and do occur without proper training.

Our abrasive wheel courses provide you with the confidence you need to ensure that you are working confidently and safely. Each course is a training and assessment programme and successful learners will receive a certificate of training. Therefore during the course the instructor will be continuously assessing each learner individually.

Training is a legal requirement. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that abrasive wheels are operated only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.

Suitable for farmers, managers, fitters, foremen and workers who are required to use abrasive wheels or petrol powered saws and supervise their use.
