A 2-day course designed to give candidates the skills to complete aerial cutting of trees using free fall techniques.

Entry Requirements:

  • Pre requisite of doing the 0021- Aerial cutting of Trees using Free fall techniques course, is that you have already completed the Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross cutting ( CS30) and the Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (CS31) NPTC qualifications. The candidate also needs to have passed Accessing a Tree using Rope and Harness and Award in Tree Climbing and Rescue (CS38)
  • You must be fit to undertake this training and ideally be 18 years of age or over
  • We require a completed enrolment form
  • Copy of suitable ID
  • Payment of the course fee

Course content:

  • PPE
  • Sending the Saw aloft
  • General Saw handling
  • Use of Chainsaw from a rope and harness to remove medium sized lateral branches
  • Use of Slings
  • How to free a trapped Saw
  • Basic Target Pruning
